Chocolate & Architecture

I am in love with this old stone factory turned house, everything about it is simply sublime. This 19th century building located in the small town of La Bisbal in Catalonia Spain was once a chocolate factory. The project was adapted from an industrial space into a studio and home by the Spanish firm of Anna & Eugeni Bach Architects. I mean, come on….couldn’t you just pack up your bags and move here forever? I could in a heartbeat. What’s not to love about stone walls, wood beam ceilings, exposed brick and the indoor/outdoor connection? Chocolate, well designed spaces and natural materials….these are a few of my favorite things.
